I\'m wondering what the red is on her feet?

Another fantastic shot! (How many times have I said that?) I like the colors of the child\'s clothing against the muted backdrop of the natural terrain. This child shows such exuberance! Beautiful.

This is one of my favorite 2006 Tibet photos. @Timen the red on her legs is water dripping over the mud on her legs. It is so beautifull to see children still playing in and with real nature.

I think the red spots are from the mud splashed with water.

Global culture (2): little girl jumping puddles in Tibet

The story behind "Global culture (2): little girl jumping puddles in Tibet"

One more about customs that are shared by many different cultures worldwide, this one also from the same small village in Tibet.

The girl was intrigued by our large videocamera that we used to shoot some interviews, but when she saw the muddy puddles on the road, she could not resist jumping over and in them. Funny that any western child – at least one that is still used to playing outside – would likely do exactly the same in this situation :)
